No it's not. Hopkins was Welsh but is now an American. Born brought up in Wales, he became an American citizen some years ago. If anyone reading this has not seen The Fastest Indian I urge you to see it. One of the most heart-warming films you will ever watch. The character he plays is one of the nicest ever in a film.

"worlds fastest indian" is one of the most underrated films of the past decade. It is certainly one of Hopkin's best ( and most likeable) performances ever.
