it runs off of a cvt (constant variable transmission) making it accelerate as possible fast as any gear box can make it go by use of a mechanical type computer.. meaning it harnesses as much power as it can for the best result... so technically no, it doesn't. and helicopters do have a type of gear box... with selectable gears via computer

0-217mph in 14.0secs!!! 0-1mile in 14secs = average spead through the 1/4 is what? There is no way he did the 1/4 in 3.5secs.... but still... Holy Ludicrous speed, Batman! How in the hell did he keep the front end on the ground? It would be really interesting in the 1/4mile stats. Anyone out there know?
