that's exactly what i don't want!!! i don't want bands like interpol to get well known. Indie Rock/Alternative is exactly that - alternative. when bands become popular they get tied up in it and produce shit. look at kings of leon - there old stuff was brilliant. the new stuff from the kings is too safe and poppy, as a result i even missed out on geting a ticket to one of there gigs - which is shit because i've been into them since youth and young manhood.

yeah, i know what you mean.. i feel like people are always saying that music right now sucks compared the oldies, and they are. but bands like this just arent well known enough and its good music

the sound reminds "Where is my mind" by Pixies. Interpol really lacks a bit of irony in their performance-sounds like too serious intravertal teenagers playing deeply depressed. but music is not bad in whole.

White Lies is really good, but they haven't released their debut album yet so they just have a couple songs. I think they're going to release the album pretty quick though...

I agree. The first song I heard of Interpol's was The Specialist, that song is like a perfect example of what you're talking about. I like White Lies too, they have a somewhat similar sound to Interpol and Editors.

"this shitty new music"???? what's wrong with the people that listen to interpol? "new music"??? i've talked to my dad and uncles and stuff that grew up listening to the beatles, the who, the doors, the clash, joy division; to name a few - and they think that the music they heard back then is pretty similar. after all bands generally consist of vocals, a drum, lead guitar and bass!! i don't know anyone that is into "lil wayne" - i've never even heard of him!!

i know excatly how u feel nobody listens to the good old stuff like the beatles or the who everyone is onto lil wayne and this shitty new music
