First of all, it was breathy. Second of all, it was pitchy. Third of all, it was whiny. Fourth of all, Memory is the sort of song that needs to be belted out. He never brings it. There wasn't enough passion in this performance.

u should listen to some of his studio versions, they're awesome. He has the purest, most angelic voice, i think he'd make an excellent recording artist. Hes not normally so breathy, this performance was done while he was sick. However, i love the emotion he puts into his songs. I'm alittle tired of the flashy contestants that practically screetch at u to show off their pipes. His voice is just perfect to me and with alittle more experience i think he has the potential to be a wonderful artist.

I agree with you that he doesn't have the best voice in AI, but what he has is originality. He has other things going for him that makes him big: he has charisma, uniqeness, and passion for the songs he sings. I think Jason did a great job on AI, even though he chose to do this awful song, must have been better songs for him! loved daydream, hallelujah, rainbow, if I fell...

he's alright, but he didnt really deserve being safe instead of the likes of carly smithson. seriously, if he didn't look good, you think he would have lasted that long? he sings really, really ordinary. of all the finalists, he has the weakest voice and has the weakest vocal technique. but like i said, he's good.lol.

Great looks, really soothing voice, wonderful charisma, but yes, he does have a really breathy voice...if you weren't looking at his performance, I don't think he would be an exceptional recording artist...but in saying that, I really enjoyed his performances and was very sad to see him leave A.I.

That was a terrible version, he missed the amazing crescendo of the song with is the whole point of the song.

i think he's too breathy. its really annoying. i understand that he's nervous but the song needs variety..some long phrases, some short. his are all like, 3 words long.
