Hear hear. Send each of these denial morons on a slow trip around Buchenwald or Auschwitz, then make them read the Nazi records. They might be in a better position to comment then. It is hard to explain the depths to which humans can sink, better to deny it happened at all.

No coverup necessary. The Nazis were notable for how carefully and thoroughly they documented their own crimes, and that is why the Holocaust remains an incontrovertible fact.

The fact of the holocaust is established beyond reasonable doubt. We do know it actually happened. You say the holocaust is a lie, then claim you're not denying it, which is pathetically inconsistent. There is no 'cover-up' this is just a sad excuse for your lack of evidence for your claims. Denying the nazi's 'final solution' is not illegal in Europe (only Austria). Your idiotic paranoid suspicions do not merit any investigation. I am not saying it didn't happen I am just saying we and I DO NOT KNOW what really happened because there is a cover up. The truth does not fear investigation.

So true. This series is unjustly forgotten, and every episode is worth watching. I only learned of it a year ago, and watched the whole series with deepening fascination.

@carabinier68: Agreed, episode 11 is my pick of the 13. And if seen in context with the rest of this essay (indeed with the entire Ascent of Man series) this does epitomise his message. Saying that, it would be a great shame if somebody moved by the above never made subsequent efforts to watch the series. I still believe it to be unparalleled.
