To mention it for the 1000th time beneath that video: The name "Air on the G string" derives from a arrangement done by the violinist August Wilhelm.He rewrote the air from bachs 3rd orchestra suite to be played on the G-string of a violin(!) only and this name became widly accepted

??? I'm not sure what you're talking about because I don't play cello...but I do know that this song is in fact Bach's Air on a G String.

I am playing this piece on Violin. I've just had a new Viola and start to play on it. Julian makes me consider spending a fortune on a cello, for my car is only $500, one and half the same cost as my viola. Love you Julian. I listen to your cello always.

i read some wher that in the Baroque period, D major was regarded as "the key of glory", maybe thats why it can have such an effect
