Even though this is probably one of my favorite Floyd songs ever, it still kind of has that empty feeling without Waters. Now, I'm not saying that Gilmour sucks...but Waters was so much more, lyrical to me.
Though Gilmour has wicked ass solos/melodies. It's hard to choose between the two! I love the band in general so much.

you shouldn't even divide them in periods.
pink floyd simply were one if not THE best and most talented band ever.
there's at least one great song in each album(of course some are better or almost perfect like the wall).
and this is one of thei best of all time in my opinion,it's in my top ten.
