So, let's see...your examples of how big and evil Disney is are either the assholes who are the villians or the jackasses who learn valuable moral lessons in the end? Are you fucking kidding me? Don't project on goddamn Disney movies because you got your wimpy, whiny ass kicked all through high school! -Tabris

Let's face it, these are movies usually based on stories that were made in a very differant era. The point is that they are classics, pieces of artwork that should be maintained and passed down from generation to generation. Wanna solve the worlds problems? Educate people. Studies show that most violent criminals have a 6th grade reading level and below in the US. Stop empowering this fearmongering in society and do something about it. Hiding will bring NO change, awareness will.

You are by far an example of one of the most vile scourges on society. You are the liberal propaganda artist who fills peoples mind with the filth that nature is evil. No homosexual relations in disney - It is unnatural, sorry. Violence - If good does not defend itself it is wiped out, that is nature. It is a good lesson to kids. Shallow steriotypes - These are exaggerations placed in the context of the theme. Hercules has muscles.. God forbid, read your mythology.

Guys: media created for children pares societal messages down to their essentials and teaches kids how to look at the world. So, yeah, I think it's important to look at Disney BECAUSE it's for kids. Seriously. A very interesting video, though I think that some of the images you point to are places where I think the filmmakers are critiquing that image of masculinity - e.g. in Mulan or with Gaston. I would have liked to see more on male heroes, like Hercules. Still, good work!

The Hunchback of Notre Dame seems to break away from this movie "Everyplot", although certain elements do remain.

well in mulan the girl is dominate and better than the men in the movie. you should get your facts straight before you criticize a whole gender. and plus they are being romantic in the movie its not like the guy whips his dick out and chases her...

This is only true if you look at the segments of movies that are provided. Looking at the entire movies and messages as a whole...kindness always wins. And women aren't what are fought for all they time. Its for the people and being a good man and/or hero.

Mulan...Goes on to teach those men that women are equal, strong and as good as any man. Beast is kind, sweet and compassionate...Eventually. He learns from his mistakes. Bad examples, you did watch the WHOLE of the movies, right? Besides. What's wrong with girls being rescued by big, strong men? It's romantic. It's not real. People need to understand that.
