Because Looney Tunes cartoons weren't made for kids in mind--well, they were, but they were mostly made for kids and adults. Something today's cartoon makers, producers, and censors can't seem to grasp.

Why is there a poster of a naked woman on 1:40?

An interesting point. At 1:04 the top part of the telegram reads Untergang Des Abendlandes. When translated into English, this means The Decline of the West, which is a work by Oswald Spengler, a work which is somewhat responsible for Hitler's rise to power. Quite an interesting move on behalf of Warner Brothers.

As he descends in t chute he sings a song from t Great War which could be perceived as defeatist: 'tis th' same th' 'hole world over 'tis th' po' who git th' blame 'tis th' rich who git th' gravy now h'it aint a bloody shame! if anybody else knows more about this song please let me know thank you!

Not as great as the Disney WW2 cartoons.
