Add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator. For more please log-on to http://www.things-to-come.com LunarPilot is a computer flight simulation of the Lunar Landing Research Vehicle. The LLRV was originally developed by NASA and Bell Aerosystems in the 1960's to prepare Apollo Astronauts for the moon landing. Unlike many experimental aircraft of this enthralling era, the LLRV was never intended to represent an aviational prototype at all. It's only reason for existence was to accommodate and familiarize the Apollo astronauts with the attitudes of a rocket-powered vehicle that flies under distinctive non-aerodynamic regimes, such as those experienced during a lunar orbit and the ensuing touchdown. It is probably the most visionary hardware simulator ever built. Nowadays, PC-power converts these rather dry historical facts into a comprehensible adventure. Welcome to LunarPilot. You are about to liftoff from the shoulders of a worldwide acclaimed flight simulation standard.

Well, I guess this shows that simulators are good for getting one back on the horse, as it were. The 'beast' was, I have heard, a rather temperamental one, and difficult (though not impossible as some claim) to control. Good work!

Maj. Jack Kluever, one of the LLRV-pilots back then, tested our beta. "Exactly flies like the original beast", was his dry comment. FrankTTC, Programmer 'Lunar Pilot'

@TTCjurgen: How accurate a representation of the flight characteristics of this unconventional craft would you say this is?

well, i think what they mean is that it doesn't "officially" exist, its part of the skunk works black (non-public available) budget

yes ,and also the goverment says that area 51 does not exist... but , citizens know that it , in fact, DOES exist, i recomend to just go in area 51 in a sabatoge and just SEE wats in there

u are correct however when the Germans came out with the jet all the allied fighters were simply outclassed. i am not choosing 1 side over the other i am simply stating the facts.

groundless as in there's no way in a million years that we landed on the Earth? Well, I'm not one to believe in conspiracy theories but after building 7 went down on 9/11 by "fire," says the government, I'm starting to think our government is trying cover a lot of stuff--possibly the mission to the moon. Like that saying, "Once a liar always a liar."

Sorry, think you've misunderstood me: I meant groundless as in the so-called evidence that the Apollo missions were faked (which they weren't) - I was supporting what you were saying... ;-))
Xenogalatica (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
groundless? ....typical. Good luck to you in the near future.
