I think that those russians were so drunk and they eat it, cause they we're hungry and they don't care what was that xD

Yah, the FMNH is right down the street from me. ^_^ When the giant squid was on display there, they had lots of other cool freaky ocean critters including one of these guys, which is the only reason I recognized it. XD

Seriously, russians, why the hell do you have people that eat new lifeforms... it's just ridiculous.

Wow , I have even seen these close up and did not recognize it upside down. Thanks thedeathbunnie.
Florida museum of Natural History even has a picture of one upside down.
They are in a sub class that includes rays, skates and sharks, but are not a ray or skate. I don't think anyone ate the thing either.
Learn something every day. ;o)

That's...not an alien or a mermaid. It's a kind of ray called a guitarfish. Just do a search on 'guitar fish' and you can see lots of them quite clearly. If they'd just turned it onto its stomach, it would be very clearly a kind of ray.

Lol they have mangled a sting ray and cut eyes in it wow they have talent!
gearheads4u (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
yeah , that's a stingray.. ass, ever heard of that?
maybe some deformed kind of halibut or flounder type fish , or a branch of that tree we are not yet aware of?
I surely do not know. But I have seen about every type of stingray there is and that is not one, to the best of my knowledge. |
