Im terribly sorry but this ZR1 nring lap is nothing more than a pathetic PR attempt. GM doesnt have enough money to keep operating at a loss for too much longer.

i dont get it you say the gtr never lost yet the lap time says it did. and then you say check out wikipedia well last time i checked I personally could write whatever i wanted in wiki and state it as fact.

True. A Best Motoring Racing driver lap the GTR around the Nurburgring in 7min.29Sec.03

gtr never lost. zr1 cheated on time and they modded car heavily check out wikipedia. versus gtr which was stock besides race tires.

2 morons
xmuzzx (October 12, 2008 at 12:32 am)
the gtr loses not because of top speed but because of weight. that thing is 4,000 lbs man! not to mention the vette has a bigger and better engine. all these people spouting reliability is rubbish its a nissan not a toyota folks.
sleepisyummy (October 10, 2008 at 10:23 pm)
Exactly, the GT-R's goal was to handle better than pretty much anything out there, while the ZR1 is just a speed demon and sadly the GTR cannot keep up with it on the straightaway. The advantages the GTR has over the ZR1: reliability, handling, style, price...the advantages the ZR1 has: speed, reputation....so it really depends on what you're looking for.

Absolutely, that's what makes these cars special, each has a different engineering prospective (ZR1 vs. GT-R)
We should all appreciate the fact that they're engineering at its finest. |
