Here is a video of Canada's first F5 Tornado (upgraded from F4) taken from one mile away that devastated the western part of Elie, Manitoba on Friday June 22nd, 2007...the video ends with a second tornado (F3 Rated) near Oakville. This one was on the ground the same time as the Elie tornado, but I didn't catch it until the Elie one lifted and I was driving towards Elie to see what happened there...I turned around and tried to intercept it, but it got rain-wrapped and fell apart after about 10 minutes.

Most people are under the impression a tornado's rating is caused by it's winds, when it's actually derived from it's damage.

tornado shapes are 'rope', 'pipe', and 'wedge' this one built well and certainly could do a lot of damage...not moving off, especially...

It did F5 damage. A strong tornado can be narrow like this one. A weak tornado can be wide. I read one account of a tornado that was half a mile wide, probably with multiple votices that did some F1 damage and mostly F0. Though in general stronger tornadoes may be wider you should se waht kind of damage a tornado does. Also the appearance of the condensation funnel is affected by other variables. Damaging winds can extend beyond it.

i was not judging by size, i was judging by FACTS. how many rope tornadoes have carried a house with it? not that many. there are more wedge tornadoes that have done that kind of thing.

dude a small tornado can do shit loads of damage dont judge a tornado by size

as far as reports show, the bigger tornadoes did more significant damage than a smaller one, i am not talking about a large area, i am talking about a house. nearly all small tornadoes just ripped off roofs, while a wedge would carry an entire house. the bigger the tornado the higher winds it impacts, not 100% of the time though. maybe 95%.

twister is another term for tornado. that is why the national weather service never issued a "twister warning" and they only issued a "tornado warning". it means the same thing.

Be careful what you wish for.
