Good eyes! I was wearing some relatively new leather-soled shoes on a dusty wood floor. Banana city. :) There were indeed a couple of minor goofs in there: 1) At 1:19 I forgot that we'd agreed that Christabel would do the splits at some point. *blush* 2) At 1:30 there was a break in our connection. I've watched this thing many times and I'm still not sure what happened there.

This version is by the Jive Aces. I love the energy they put into it! -sav

His "bad steps" were due to the fact that this was an improvised routine, not something rehearsed and memorized. You certainly wouldn't do these moves on a crowded dance floor; it was a performance, after all. The stage was extremely slippery that night so it wasn't his shoes that were the problem there. We all had a hard time not killing ourselves on that stage.

He made a couple of bad steps ... and his shoes where to slippery. Still a good show. I wonder how they did it back then without literary killing someone on the dancefloor.

Who is the guy singing the song? The song has been done by a lot of people, but I've yet to find this version again. =/
