John was cool, he did it his way. I think even if he hadnt made it as big as he did in the business, he would have done it his way anyway.
I think he would have been happy with just a banjo, a fiddle, and a steamboat. RIP John.

My wife and I stayed at the Hall of Fame Motor Inn at the end of 16th and Roy Acuff drive about 35 years ago. We met John there one morning and you would have thought we had known each other for years.. He was jewell in in a sack of rocks there in Nashville. Too nice of person for that scum business call the "music business". Miss his talent and his love of the music..
