the greatness of a band has absolutely nothing to do with financial success. a bands music is the measure of their greatness not money, or contrived charts.

Success IS measured by record sales and charts. Britney had her time on the sales/charts but its gone (now shes only good on the newspaper). Consistently high record sales and high in the charts IS A REAL MEASURE of success. It's ok to like a band a lot...but its RETARTED to say they are better than a band thats better than them a zillion-times (in this case the beatles).
