not only my fav war film but my fav film full stop. the film is full of classic scenes,great acting throughout, i dont understand people who dont like it :/

yes the military was conducting secret ops in Cambodia, I remember reading a message marked secret about it. boy how the govenment lies to us.

the french plantation scene really stood out in this version of Apocalypse Now, i expected more action in the end but it still turned out great! i love this version

interesting point of view, honestly. but i really like the movie because all those scenes you have referred to as too long, are, in my opinion, just showing the senselessness of the war in an unique and brilliant way. the viewer understands how war can ruin not only people but mankind. so i think the movie is great, also because it shows a lot of different faces of the war. but , after all, world would be a boring place if there was no one to talk about such things;)

I didn't really like this movie...it had some good ideas and good scenes, but this is at the bottom of my war movie list. There are so many better ones out there. I honestly don't know why it's in the top 100 films of all time. Too many pointless scenes, too long, and poor character development...wouldn't watch it again.

Apparently Coppola is now going to remake the film again but this time the cast are all going to be negroes. He's calling it "A PACK 'O LIPS NOW".......

in my opinion it is but i like jarhead apoc now full metal jacket and platoon more :)
