I had this on a 45 r.p.m. record. Of course the Old West is romanticized. Very few people owned sidearms as they were inaccurate and therefor impractical. Why would anyone leave the posse to face Ringo alone? Wouldn't someone steal the sheriff's badge left at Ringo's headstone? This is yet another song in the tradition of "A Boy Named Sue."
