So they take it under 378,000 gallons of water, and then say not to use it in the bath? What's the point then?

its all good and well to make a laptop that can withstand that much water... but who uses there laptop in 378,000 gallons of water?
dahgutone (August 23, 2008 at 4:24 am)
They didnt turn it on because the pad can only take in 60CCs cc is the mesurment. It isnt as great as a Panasonic Toughbook, but lenovo is getting there.

hm...i think the point of this might have been to show that the thinkpad could survive under the pressure a body of water that size?
gsotocast (August 19, 2008 at 2:12 am)
yes, it was sooo necesary to submerge it in the pool with all the scuba diving team, they couldn't just throw it inside to see what happens...(appart from the fact that peolple usually spill water on their computers when on... me personally, I don't throw +300,000 gallons of water on my laptop, but, who knows)
luizrvgo (August 14, 2008 at 4:02 am)
