actually yes it is. if you can make somebody fear something enough they'll do anything. Look at Y2K. Billions of dollars were spent because people feared what would happen. Nothing did, but a lot of people made money out of it.

Both Steve and John Sculley didn't like the add at all. After the makers of the film keept pressing on. Jobs and Scully finally let the responsible marketing guy, Mike Murray, take the decision to strengthen his role in the company. And he pushed the green button...
