2005年 ドイツで修復され最近日本でもDVDが販売された『戦艦ポチョムキン』の冒頭には本来はトロツキーの以下の言葉が掲げられていました。
「革命の精神がロシア国土のうえに漂っていた。ある巨大で秘密に満ちたプロセスが、無数の心のなかで成就した。すなわち、
ようやく自分自身を認識したばかりであった個人性が、大衆のなかに解消され、そして大衆が、大いなる飛躍のなかに解消されたのだ。」
